Bladen County established Recovery Bladen in 2021, in response to the rising rate of substance and opioid use disorders in the county. The County received funding through a $1 million grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP), and is a partnership with the Bladen County School System, Cape Fear Valley Bladen Hospital, RHA Behavioral Health LLC, and the Bladen County Public Health Department.
